Post by sheringham Thu Dec 18, 2008 12:59 pm

I'm out all day tomorrow.

This is my favourite version of this song.
Sharon D Clarke - Hallelujah

there's a bit of Holby 'drama' in the middle but then Sharon starts singing again. This is, I think, exactly what was broadcast in the relevant episode. The person who wrote it was obviously a TWW fan! But Sharon's version is the best I have heard. I love her voice. Even if she was discovered by Ian Levine :affriad: But, her work on Last Choir Standing and the children's programme she did have redeemed her.

XTC - Radios In Motion. An excellent live performance from Whistle Test in early 78. This was the opening track to their first album (White Music) which they also used as a set opener at the time: a great way to get the crowd going from the very start. Smile

Window Licker

- Aphex Twin.

And folks...Aphex Twin videos are generally disturbing. This one isn't even mildly suitable for children, and the dialog in the beginning isn't even suitable for adults. It features liberal use of the N-bomb (by those entitled to use it, but nevertheless...)

A nine-and-a-half minute 10" single about the assassination of British Prime Minister Spencer Perceval*, sung from the point of view of the assassin**, John Bellingham? I wonder who that could be...

iLiKETRAiNS - Spencer Perceval

*The only time it's happened, surprisingly. So far...

**The b-side is from Perceval's point of view, and takes it's name from his last words - 'I Am Murdered'...
