What do you think of the concluding part of our first meeting with the Slitheen Family? Poll open for 2 weeks as usual.

Re: Rate "World War Three"
2/5. After a very promising buildup this is a real letdown. Redeeming features are the corridor chase scenes, some proper good WHO there and the Doctor/Blon scene through the doorway.
It just fails to deliver what the first part promised. A mysterious, interesting and slightly creepy buildup turns into a load of phone calls.

Re: Rate "World War Three"
i thought i'd voted for both episodes! anyway good stuff- i particularly love the fact that the slitheen story ends but there's still a good 10 minutes of stuff left. in the old days that would have been it but this showed that the new series had a heart.

Yes, I'm particularly fond of the end. Mickey sat on a bin waiting. Top stuff!

Like Johnstone, I felt a bit let down by the second half of this story. Brilliant cliffhanger, and it steers you toward a series of phone calls. Still, it had Harriet Jones.
I'm giving it a 2/5.

Re: Rate "World War Three"
Another 3/5 from me. There's some good stuff in there, but it's let down by poor direction.
However, I do think RTD hid a very clever idea in there about the Doctor's relationship with the timeline that hardly anyone notices. Look at how he doesn't know who Harriet is, then thinks he knows her name as the crisis continues (and without him and Rose there she'd likely die) and then knows all about her by the end. He's watching her timeline changed from little-known dead MP to Prime Minister of the Golden Age...and it also explains how he can happily depose her a few months later, because he couldn't foresee his own intervention that would do it.
