The Guitar Hero/Rock Band thread

A thread to celebrate these two fantastic games.

Am I the only one that loves GH?

Nope not at all. Guitar Hero is superior to Rock Band in many ways, the drums are better on GH and even the style is better.

Waiting for Beatles Rock Band to jump into the whole "music game" genre. Oh, and I'll be getting that Karoake game that has my favourite 80s song, "Melt With You".

Now if only they'd make "Rock Band: Monkees" I'd be happy.

Oh , myself and my son are hooked on Guitar Hero.

We have it on the Wii. So far we have gotten through Legends of Rock on medium, World tour( dear god , my fingers after Van Halens hot for teacher....), the Aerosmioth one is a bit....crap, although the Kravitz and Cult tracks on it are good..
and we just got Greatest hits..( I say we...as if its entirely for him....LOL)

Im going to get Beatles Rock band when its out and the Van Halen GH in Nov.

The Metalicca one didnt interest me...maybe when its reduced in price or I find a cheap second hand copy...

Doesn't look as good as past games, granted it's not complete yet. I will get it even if it's just for Thin Lizzy and The Police though.

I'm better* at actual guitar than Guitar Hero - shouldn't that be impossible?

Although, as in real-life, I'll take the bass every time - as does everyone who can't actually play guitar... Razz

I prefer Shakkato Tambourine! - based, as it is, around the only instrument I can actually play! And, if you're after a bit of rhythm-action, you can't beat Space Channel 5...

*'Better' here used relatively...

The full GH5 setlist is released, it's here.

I'm considering jumping ship to Rockband. The GH instruments will work with it (on the wii at least) and the list of songs seems to be so much better.
