New Doctor, new decade.  And in color!

Exiled to Earth following his trial by the Time Lords, the new regenerated Third Doctor joins forces with Brigadier Alastair Gordon Lethbridge Stewart and his new assistant Liz Shaw to stop an invasion by the Autons.

So what did you think of Jon Pertwee's premiere story?

Good. Shame the series couldn't have continued on film!

This was featured in March as the "Classic Doctor Who" story for the 3rd Doctor on BBC-America.  Wondeful little story, and it's actually quite an accomplishment when you consider that there wasn't a single returning actor from the Patrick Troughton era.

Nick Courtney had only been in three previous Troughton stories.  He was hardly a series reular.

You said "there wasn't a single actor returning from the Patrick Troughton era". Not "none of the regulars were returning".
