Rate "The Claws Of Axos"

Post by Patrick on Sat Jul 27, 2013 8:37 am

An alien craft arrives in Britain, carrying beings who call themselves Axons, and they claim to have come in peace.  Their strange bio-chemistry has created a substance called axonite, which has the power to affect the structure of matter.  And this axonite is being offered to the various world powers.  The Doctor's suspicions are aroused, however, and he suspects the Axons of having another, more sinister motive.  It seems his suspicions have merit, too, as he uncovers their alliance with the Master.

So what did you think of Claws of Axos?

4/5 from me. Under rated, certainly better than Mind of Evil. Pigbin Josh rules.

I've often thought that it would be very interesting to see what a re-design of the Axons would be like in modern Who. I think they'd be stunning. As to Claws, I retain my initial sense of how fun this episode was every time I re-watch it. 4/5 from me.

CGI would, in this case, help.
