The TARDIS deposits the Doctor, Leela and K9 on a spaceship piloted by the last of the Minyans, a race which all but destroyed itself as a result of being given technology beyond their own natural development by the early Time Lords. These last remaining Minyans on a desperate search for their race banks, lost centuries earlier. These race banks represent the only hope of survival for the Minyan civilization. The Doctor agrees to help, and in short order, the race banks are found. But retrieving them is another matter: it will involve confronting an insane computer and it's robotic servants. And if they fail, it will mean certain doom for the Minyans.

So what did you think of this four-part story? Grounbreaking? Or simply buried under the passage of time?

I have to confess that since the first time I saw this more than 30 years ago to this very day, I have not liked this story at all. This is a perfect example of how erratic Season 15 was for me. The special effects were woeful, the story was limp and un-interesting, even the performances were uninspired. 1/5 from me.
