Rate "The Woman Who Lived"

We have already reached episode six, proving that in Doctor Who, Tempus really does Fugit. So, here's your brief for tonight's foray into time travel, aliens and intrigue:

"Ninja, nun, surgeon, scientist, composer, inventor... it’s a fantastic CV."

England, 1651. The highwayman known as The Nightmare is plaguing the land. But the Nightmare is not all he seems, and his fire-breathing accomplice who lurks in the shadows is clearly more than human… The Doctor, on the trail of an alien artefact, is brought face to the face with the consequences of his own actions. For once he encounters someone who won’t let him turn his back on the things he has done. But will the Nightmare be his friend or foe? It may well take till the end of the universe to be sure...

So in the conclusion to last week's "The Girl Who Died," the Doctor made Ashildr immortal. And we know from experience that immortality isn't necessary a gift. Now the Doctor is going to have face that decision. So what did you think? Here's your chance to weigh in with your thoughts, opinions, compliments or complaints.

We'll discuss sucker jokes next week, Konstantin. For now, let's talk about immortality. Personally, I've never been opposed the idea. But seeing how... bankrupt... emotionally it leaves one, I'm now struggling with the concept. That was a marvelous juxtaposition of the Doctor and one he's elevated to immortality, discussing what immortality does. And I really enjoyed the mention of the Tereleptils. Very good conclusion to a story that felt a bit like a certain Hartnell era story in its two halves.

Indeed, immortality is an interesting concept -- and very foreign to what it is to be human. Since so much of what we are is bound up with our fleeting life span, could someone that becomes immortal remain "humane"? Would this be possible?

We color our perceptions so much by our own frame of reference. How well do we perceive the existence of other species with vastly different lifespans than ours? Is it even possible for an immortal to comprehend our perception of existence?
