Bad Lieutenant

The next chapter in the Joy Division/New Order story. A few members of New Order have formed Bad Lieutenant, their album coming out next month.
Having listened to the single "sink or Swim" on their Myspace I think this sounds promising. I'm a big fan of both Joy Division and New Order and it looks like Bad Lieutenant are going to be pretty good too.

A bit like Electronic without the electronics!

I'm intrigued by this - particularly to see if they can avoid the Electronic/Revenge/Monaco/The Other Two trap of sounding exactly like New Order and, so, making you wonder what the point is. Terrible name, though.
Mind you, they're targeting their marketing well - I found out about them when they started following me on Twitter! I suppose I must have mentioned Joy Division* or New Order on there at some point...

the last new order album was really underwhelming but this might be good.

Going to see them again this weekend at the Friends of Mine Festival. Quite possibly the best festival lineup of the last 20 years.
