Pond Life - Online Mini Episode Prequel Thing
I was actually pleasantly surprised by the first part of this, I was expecting it to be a bit boring but it seems to be a good laugh. The first part is worth a look if you've not seen it yet.

The second part has been posted today. Very cute, nicely clever. I love the Doctor's line at the end. "Don't worry about your future. Everything will be just fine. Sleep well."

Just caught the second part, and as with yesterday, it was fun but brief. Enjoyed it.

Just occurred to me: what if River finds out about Mata?
Eep!

This assumes, Aspa, that something actually happened between the Doctor and Mata Hari.

Re: Pond Life - Online Mini Episode Prequel Thing
Now, Part 3 is rather interesting. That's not exactly the sort of problem everyone experiences.

Definitely still fun, but this one felt a bit slight compared to the last two.
Yep, which is a good thing, surely.Patrick wrote:That's not exactly the sort of problem everyone experiences.

I think the Ood showing up in Amy & Rory's place is a bit of "product placement." I'm given to understand that the Ood becomes something of a plot point in one of the upcoming episodes.

Cool. I don't mind if the Ood is just a one-off "Huh?" moment, but it'd be fun if there was extra payoff down the line on what we're seeing here.Patrick wrote:I think the Ood showing up in Amy & Rory's place is a bit of "product placement." Just what everyone needs at home: an Ood that wants to be your butler.
Wait, didn't we do an episode about how that can end really badly?

Re: Pond Life - Online Mini Episode Prequel Thing
The Ponds must have the most discrete neighbours in history. Ifyou saw a tenticled alien pegging out next doors laundry, wouldn't, you say something to somebody about it?
Re: Pond Life - Online Mini Episode Prequel Thing
Well, I might... but some folks might think they must be seeing things, or that people would say they're nuts. Given the Pond's life, the neighbors may well have opted to pretend there was a SEP field around the whole property.
Now I'm picturing a half hour sitcom about the Pond's constant efforts to hide the Ood from their wacky OTT next-door neighbor...
Fun episode. Might be my fave of the bunch.

Wow, part 5 ended on something of a somber note. I wasn't expecting that.

Ha. If I thought another woman had flashed her bits at Mr Aspa, I'd be fuuuuuuurious.Patrick wrote:This assumes, Aspa, that something actually happened between the Doctor and Mata Hari.

Interesting.
Why? And at whom?
Re: Pond Life - Online Mini Episode Prequel Thing
I'm referring to the scene where we catch a glimpse of Mata Hari's legs as she apparently disrobes in front of the Doctor.

By the way, I don't think we've heard the last of the Pond's Ood valet.
