Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
Hey all...
I'm very sorry to visit here to announce you such a sad news, but I know Scott, Zoltar, would have wanted me to post in there.
His sister confirmed me this morning that Zoltar died yesterday, from a stroke.
He was 42 years old and the true man of my life.
You can post your thoughts here or on my email address: jacksmarla@hotmail.com
I'll make sure to send them all to his sister.
He was the most brilliant man I had the chance to meet and he'll be truly missed.

OH MY GOD! Zoltar?!
How indescribeably sad. This is awful news. And only 42. Good Lord.
Zoltar was a wonderfully witty, always pleasant, friend. He will indeed be missed. I am simply staggered by this news, and I can only imagine the grief his family must be going through at this awful shock. Godspeed, my friend, Zoltar.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
Shockingly sad news. Zoltar's posts were always a delight to read, he always had something good to say and struck me as one of the most positive people I have ever spoken to.
Over the years I've tried many mad fan projects, fanfic series and other things and he'd always be the first to comment.
RIP Zoltar, you will be sorely missed.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
Here are my brief thoughts.
I am shocked and staggered at the news of Zoltar's death. I had known Scott since the days of OW, maybe 7 or 8 years. He always saw the best in people, a genuinely lovely man who was always, without fail, kind to others. This place and others will be much, much poorer without him.
RIP mate, it was an enormous pleasure and privilege to have spent these past years knowing you.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
The only thing I can think to say is that this just isn't fair.
As usual, everyone else says it better so please add my shocked and heartfelt condolences for those that knew and loved him. I will miss him.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
Like everyone else, i feel very shocked. I didn't know Zoltar well but reading his posts over the years, I often found myself thinking that he seemed a really nice person. Forty two is very young.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
Zoltar was a lovely man, always cheerful, calm, happy. Not a bad word to say about anyone, and it's very upsetting to hear of his passing. I'm also sad that I never even knew his name, or more about him, but he was always there, always agreeable, nice and friendly.
I always think of Scott every time I watch Last of the Time Lords, because for so long his avatar was the picture of Tennant after he'd said goodbye to Martha. It's a lovely picture of the Doctor, showing his best qualities, warmth, compassion, humour, but it's really Zoltar, and it's showing his qualities.

This is such a shock. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in the flesh, but he came across as such a lovely man.
God bless.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
It is with great sadness that I read of our friend Scott's (Zoltar's) passing. He was the kindest and most generous soul I've ever run across and we are all diminished by his absence. His cheer and kindness has enriched my (and many other's) life and he will be sorely missed. Memory eternal, dear soul.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
I only learned of Zoltar's passing yesterday while browsing on GB. I saw it in a sig and could not believe this sad news.
By coincidence I received an email this morning from OW inviting me to revisit the forum and check out the missing-episodes chat. I think Zoltar would want us all to do just that but the main reason I'm here right now is to belatedly say how terribly sorry I am.

I can't believe this. Zoltar was great. Rarely on an online forum have I ever seen such unfettered positivity and decency. Never, probably.

I often think of him. He was so supportive when my husband had his stroke, and then he was taken at such a young age. Such a loss.

Re: Scott Reiman (a.k.a. Zoltar) 1971-2013
I only just learned of his passing from returning to OW. Maybe that was why I was drawn to return. He was one of my first GB friends. He was so kind and positive. Aside from the wonderful show itself, the most brilliant thing about being a Who fan is the people I have met on this journey. I am truly shocked and saddened. So sad. Thank you Scott for being my friend.
