sounds like Moff is going after this next series - turning the reigns over to Chibnal --

Scuttlebutt has it that Capaldi has been asked to stay on --

will he stay? or will he go?

I hope he stays. I think there's far more potential to his Doctor than we've seen, certainly more than was left to be done with Tennant and Smith after their first two series.

Saw a pic of him lately with a beard - looks good on him.

Production on Series 10 is due to start in a few weeks. If this is to be Capaldi's final season, you'd think we'd have heard an announcement about it prior to start of principal photography.

I got the impression that he sounded like he was game for sticking around a bit after SM.

At the moment we can but hope. As it stands they could throw a surprise regeneration at us at the end of S.10 as I suspect it'll finish broadcasting before S11 starts filming. Hopefully this wont be the case though.

One thing I hope we don't end up with is the regeneration being a Christmas episode again, I'd much prefer it to be at the end of a series. After all, the last two regeneration stories have had a Christmassy theme.

Regenerations tend to be the climax of a season, which is why they get pegged to Christmas specials. If Mr. Capaldi sticks around for the start of the Chibnall era, it will be interesting to see how they eventually handle his regeneration. It'll be the first time since Eccleston regenerated in Tennant that a regeneration happened under a single show-runner.

Sounds like Peter's last ep is the Christmas special. So new Doctor for a new show runner.

Just watched the live Q&A today (this is after the penultimate ep of series 10) -- Stephen said he was a bit distracted since the last ep was not "done yet" - supposed to air this Saturday.

...Mondasian cybermen... pretty creepy...

I totally agree. When I was a child, the Cybermen always frightened me much more than the Daleks.

With a female Doctor -- might we get a male primary companion? (even tho we've had male "companions" before, has the _primary_ companion been male before??)
