Apparently the LucasArts video game "Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes" is the gap filler between S1 & S2. It not only takes place between the two seasons, but it tells the story of what happens between the two series. The game comes out in September.

While I have issues with The Phantom Menace as a film, I do like the character of Qui-Gon and I think it's fantastic Liam is lending his voice to this.
