I think the failure of shows like "Bonekickers", combined with that thing I seem to keep talking about (budgetary constraints), suggests to me that they're *playing safe*.

I agree, but if it wasn't for remakes, we wouldn't have Doctor Who.
I'll be watching, but only if they sort out that teeth-grindingly painful dialogue. What is it with post-apocalyptic dramas and bad dialogue?

Why? The BBC already did the definitive adaptation back in 1981. Why don't they adapt The Chrysalids for television? Something, which to my knowledge they have never done by anyone before. It has never hit the big screen either.The Co=Ordinator wrote:Like it says on the box!

Agreed on both counts. The '81 ...Triffids was pretty much perfect, and The Chrysalids was the first Wyndham book I ever read.
