Doctor Who - Time Squad: New Action Figure Line
Report taken from Action Figure.com
Character Options get in on the mini-category that's sprung from Galactic Heroes with these Doctor Who Time Squad figures due for release as part of their line up for their Docto Who license...
There are 15 detailed figures to collect including characters from Series 1, 2, 3 & 4. You will find the Doctor plus many other familiar characters, enemies and monsters. Each figure is highly detailed and have different levels of articulation.
There are a number of 2-packs but annoyingly, you are unable to collect all the figures this way:
Cyberman & Dalek
Doctor & Sontaran
Doctor & Vashta Nerada
Scarecrow & Pyrovile
Slitheen & Weeping Angel
Supreme Dalek & Clockwork Man
There are also a number of 5 packs, which contain unique figures:
Cyberman
Black Dalek
Scarecrow
Vashta Nerada
Sontaran
Bronze Dalek
Sycorax
Natural Ood
Pyrovile
Clockwork Man
Forbidden Planet is already taking pre-orders. The 2-packs are £4.99, whilst the 5-packs weigh in at as cost-effective £9.99 each. These are expected to hit stores at the end of March 2009

I think these are quite simply superb.

Until I saw the picture, I did wonder just how they were going to make a Vashta Nerada action figure...

Oh, thank of the possibilities. They could have had a piece of black cloth and a little chicken leg bone instead.Nick Barlow wrote:Until I saw the picture, I did wonder just how they were going to make a Vashta Nerada action figure...

Yep, I think I shall be getting these. I don't usually buy DW figures, I think the only one I have is a 4th Doctor one, but these just look fun. Love the Daleks in particular.

Call me a purist, but I really don't like those figures. I think they're incredibly ugly. Sorry.

I suspect they're aimed more at the much younger end of the toy buying market. Certainly, I can easily see my youngest nephew going for them in a big way.Frank wrote:Call me a purist, but I really don't like those figures. I think they're incredibly ugly. Sorry.
I think they're cutely ugly - I like that.

No need to be sorry, I'm sure they'll be an acquired taste.

Nice pix. Cool little figures, aren't they? I think the Doctor and the 3 Daleks are my faves of the bunch.
