Very sad news. Like you, the Harryhausen/Schneer movies formed an integral part of my childhood. Can January now stop being the month where cultural icons cark it, please! Enough, already.

Couldn't agree more. There's been too damned many of them lost this month as it is.

Very sad news, I commented in the thread at the DWF. I know I'll be watching a few of his and Harryhausen's films this weekend as a sort of tribute.
