In amongst the, literally, hundreds of thousands of words I've written over the decades, there's only ever been one set of lyrics. These were for the end of Act One of my panto version of "Treasure Island", and were set to a reorchestrated version of Graham Kendrick's 'Rumours of Angels'.

Jim Hawkins has landed on Skeleton Island, but sinks into despair about the situation in which he finds himself. He turns to the audience and says:

And now by the looks of it, I’m marooned as well. Marooned? That’s the least of my worries, it’s more likely the pirates will find and kill us. The Hispaniola has probably already set sail back for England. Oh what on earth have I done? I wish I’d never found that map. All I ever wanted was to be able to look after Mum, Hetty and Rose, instead of which I’m facing an oncoming storm and will never see them again. (Cue music) How did things ever come to this…...?

Jim then sings the following heart-rending soliloquoy:
