The Bank of Karabraxos is reputed to be the largest, most secure bank in the world.  Well, it would be, with the deliciously evil Ms. Delphox as head of security.  And then there's the dreaded Teller, who can detect guilt at a glance.  So why is the Doctor accepting the challenge to break into it?  And who are the shape-shifting alien and the cyber-augmented gamer coming along for the experience?  Episode 5 of the new season for the new Doctor transmits this Saturday night.

So what did you think of "Time Heist"?  Did it crack the vaults, or just alert security?  Let's be hearing from you.  Reminder to North American Wrinklies, if you wander in here Saturday before the episode transmits on this side of the Atlantic, you run the risk of being spoilered, so venture in this thread before US and Canada transmission at your own risk.

I'm wondering if "Attack Of The Memory Worms" might be a more accurate title for the lack of response from the other side of the pond.

Well, I voted and as currently only two votes have been cast at least one of you has not voted!

I gave Time Heist 2/5.  Maybe that was unfair but I found it rather boring and pointless.  Perfectly well made but...

To be honest, I can't get into this series any more than I did the previous three Moffat series.  I was hoping a change of Doctor would help but it hasn't.  There just seems to be something about Moffat's vision of DW which doesn't gel with me.  I loved his RTD era episodes but since he took over as showrunner - well, I much preferred RTD's tenure.  I've really enjoyed some episodes in the last few series of course (and disliked some in the first four series) but I do rather feel as if I am hanging on until he leaves!

By the way, in an effort to be fair I believe I rated each of the first four episodes a 4.

I voted and gave it a 3. After the fantastic "Listen" the previous week, this episode had big shoes to fill. It think it did a reasonably good job, but it didn't pull me in the way "Listen" did. I did love the dialogue, and the relationship between Clara and the Doctor continues to be outstanding. But Keeley Hawes sort of felt wasted/under-utilized in this story.

Same here. There were things I liked, but I only understood the plot after the Ninja explained it to me.
