The Doctor returns to Peladon some fifty years after his first visit, and finds the planet is again in disarray.  The Federation is currently engaged in hostilities with the races of the oppressive Galaxy Five, and in order to wage that fight, desperately need trisilicate - an element which Peladon has in abundance.  But this has led to claims by native Peladonites that the Federation is raping their planet of its resources, a claim being apparently bolstered by appearances of Aggedor, the sacred beast of Peladon, who seems to be condemning the Federation's presence on the planet.  Mounting evidence seems to be pointing to the Ice Warriors as the culprits of all this discord, just as events did fifty years earlier.  So, could the Doctor be wrong twice?

What did you think of the penultimate story for Jon Pertwee's era?

After a bit of contemplation I'll give this 3/5. Over long, boring on occasion, but we have the Ice Warriors back in form plus there's good topical analogies.

I gave this a 2/5. My problem is that with the Ice Warriors reverting to type, the story becomes rather predictable.
