Re: Music Library [PART 2]
Green Day's main failing is that they've failed to get me into any proper punk bands. Doesn't stop them having some top songs though.

Re: Music Library [PART 2]
Right, time for me to catch up with the Library. I'm going to have to "start afresh", hopefully nothing will be a repeat!. So to start with here's a totally awesome piece of Glam Rock, certainly my favourite Marc Bolan song. T Rex - Metal Guru. I bought this as a 7 inch piece of vinyl in May 1972, and still have it to this day.

John Martyn - Solid Air
RIP (and it should be easy for you to rest easily, John, this used to be my night-time resting-my-brain song)

Another of the 'time to add them to the library' entries:

Re: Music Library [PART 2]
I was so sure I'd put this down already, I'd have put money on it. Turns out I would have lost my 20p. Sorry the sound quality isn't as high as the song deserves:

Re: Music Library [PART 2]
Not one of the best tracks on the album, but it's nice enough and the only one I can find! And if you reckon it's worth a punt, it's a mere 1p +P&P for the album on Amazon UK. The title track:

Earth Wind and Fire - September
I f*** love this song. And I love EWF. The best gig I ever went to - absolutely the best ever gig - was EWF at Wembley arena in about 1988 or 89. We had frint row seats and it was just awesome - Maurice White and his amazing wiggling bum (as also seen in this clip) were on fine form as was Phillip Bailey and the Memphis Horns. Top group. Top showmen. Top tune.

Now here is a band from the Britpop days that should have got rather bigger than they did.

Good Lord. I've found some Mr Fox! Awesome. Some classic seventies folk here, and all their stuff is available on one disc for £3.98 on Amazon UK. Well worth it! I just wish they had Mendle or The Gypsy on YouTube, but this is a pretty good introduction.

I love Gene! I absolutely adore them! I thought I was - literally - the only person in the world who did!
Today's pick from me: Squeeze - Tempted
