I know that it's me that's supposed not to like the comedy songs, but this is great...
The Sweet - Ballroom Blitz
I love the bored-sounding verses. Obviously that guy isn't too worried that it's turning into a barroom blitz...

Peter Noone - Lady Barbara. Age 10, this was the first ever single that I bought with *my own* money. Looking back nigh on 40 years, even then I was clearly a sucker for tempo changing ballads with plenty of strings!

Wot, no Basque folk?
Oskorri - Desertore Batendako Burkoa
eta - Incidentally, I have located the translation in my copy of this, and the song title means "Pillow for a Deserter". It's all about whether to desert the army or not.

This group is from San Francisco, sing in French, Spanish, English and other languages, with lots of funky international styles. Awesome.
