Any thoughts on the likelihood of a BBC1 Confidential for the announcement of the new companion?

Personally, I hope there isn't a new DWConfidential for the new companion, as it strikes me as overkill. It should simply be an announcement and the release of the first photoshoot of of her and Matt Smith.

But that's my opinion.

BTW, there seems to be much talk at the DWF of a name that's been PM'd by various members- does anyone have an idea of who that name may be? Or is this a return to the "I know more than you do" mentality regarding spoilers from last year?

It's all in the Series 5 Companion Speculation Megathon, although I can't find the original poster. Another poster has poured water on the speculation, though.

Not a thread I've frequented before. No idea what;s going on there, probably just a load of old bollocks really; very sad that a Mod doesn't pass comment IMO.

They did when it was around in the old thread - IIRC, funky_peanut_pup said he knew an actress who had auditioned for DW and was celebrating getting a new role, but to protect her confidentiality, he'd only give the name by PM. Cue hundreds of posts from people wanting PMs, and then fpp announcing that the actress in question was celebrating getting a different role, not in DW.
