RIP Barry Letts
I've just heard that Barry Letts has died. I knew he'd been ill but very sad news. Barry was a great producer of a really successful era of the show and never lost his enthusiasm for the programme...
Definitely one of the good guys.

This is sad news indeed. I believe he was a practising Buddhist, may he have achieved his enlightenment.

Barry. An incredibly talented man. An incredibly thoughtful man. An incredibly intelligent man. A wonderful story teller. Totally genuine in everything he did and said. One of life's true gentlemen.
RIP Barry.
We will ensure that his passing is remembered at Time & Again tomorrow.

One of the greatest writers/directors/producers to work on WHO. The man who gave us Tom Baker as the Doctor. A true legend who'll be greatly missed. RIP.

Hear, hear! I'll raise a glass in absentia along with all those at Time & Again to toast his memory and his many, many contributions to Who. Barry will truly be missed.

Indeed, I hope he found his enlightenment at the end.
Barry Letts essentially created my childhood and I will always remember him fondly for that gift.

The Radio 4 programme, Last Word, which is on at the moment will feature a tribute to Barry by none other than Tom Baker.

A very nice little piece it was too. As ever the key word came out: "gentleman".
