The End of Time Part 2 Speculation Thread (Possible Spoilers)

This is a subject that seems to be of some debate over at GB. I thought my fellow Wrinklies would like to have a go at this.

First, a few pictures:






Question 1:
Who are the two people on either side of Dalton hiding their faces in their hands (from the bottom picture)?

If these are the same people as can be seen from the promo pic at the top, the one to the right of Dalton appears to be Claire Bloom, the woman in white who keeps appearing to Wilf. So who is that to Dalton's left?

Question 2:
Are they both women, or is a woman to the right of Dalton, and a man to the left?

In the middle picture, where their backs are to us, the shoulder line of the one (now on Dalton's right from this perspective) appears to me, at least, to be taller and more broad than Bloom's. I'm thinking whoever that is, it's a male profile.

Which leads to Question 3:
Could that person to Dalton's left in both the top and bottom picture be Matt Smith?

If it is our new Eleventh Doctor, I need to start working on a theory for why he'd be there before the regeneration happens.

All you can really see clearly is his hair. The face is carefully concealled in every picture. And that hair could be Matt's. Could, but not "definately is." Hence the speculation.

No. Both RTD and The Moff have stated it makes for better drama if the Time Lords are not loitering in the background.

Matt's knocking at the door signals that David's time is up. They have a momentary look at each other. David regenerates into Matt, and when Matt looks around, the version of him that knocked on the TARDIS door isn't there anymore.
