The topic title is so short that I had to use the spacebar to make it up to 10 characters!. But what did you make of Chibbers Series 3 story? Poll open for 2 weeks as usual.

Had to look it up. The one with the ship nicking fuel from the sun. My opinion of it is much higher than my liking for it. 3/5.

Very hard to sit through. 2/5.

I gave it a 3/5. I actually like a lot of this episode, but I think Tennant holds it together a bit.

Once again in the minority, I really like this episode and easily give it 4/5. Never have understood the Chibbers Hate.

I really enjoyed this story, too. For me, it gave you a strong performance from Tennant, who had to play a very frightened Doctor having to rely entirely upon a relatively new Companion. It gave you some growing tension between Martha and her mom, as the sinister intereference of Harold Saxon is again deftly played. And it gave a terrific scene as the Doctor attempt to communicate with Martha that he'll save her as her capsule drifts away from the ship and towards the living sun.

I found lots to enjoy in this, and have no qualms about giving it 4/5.

My abiding memory of this episode, however, was that on original transmission, Doctor Who was about to take a two week hiatus owing to the Eurovision Song Contest, and to make up for this, RTD gave us a sneak peak at the remainder of series three, rather than just the standard "next time" trailer. That sneak peak was great!

Don't hate him. Just think that what he writes is laughably bad. Except this one, which is dull.
