It's going very slowly. The best thing for them to do would be to leave it open to everyone and let everyone log off when it doesn't work. It gets things sorted so much faster.

I actually suspect the lock-out was at least partially intended to act as incentive to make members take out Patron status. Certainly, it clearly hasn't worked as a way to alleviate server strain.

It's not too bad in terms of what's being said, though there's a nasty undertone to the 'I'm glad it wasn't Paterson Joseph' posts. The fun game I've found to play is 'guess the content of the thread from the title and OP'...

On topic, what does interest me now is the question of what the companion's going to be like (and will they get a special Confidential too?) - are they going to go for someone of the same apparent age, a teenager, or someone older? Who they cast, and the first details of the character might give us a hint about how the Eleventh Doctor will be portrayed...

Just seen the News Of The World's report of it (http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/showbiz/116294/Who.html) , and it has a classic line in it when they send someone who doesn't know their Who history to get "fandom's response":

Hrmm. Well, my first off-the-cuff reaction is the boy needs some sun. He's a little vampire-like. Beyond that, I look forward to seeing him show us what the production team saw in him. Without a doubt, there will be unpleased fandom cursing him for the next couple of years as being "too" whatever, which is all they do anyway so...the more things change the more they stay the same. Smile
