Good question. I usually approximate that by saving the quotes to Word and then copy/pasting them into the post window myself.lucy_who wrote:Is there a multi-quote function on here, at all? Or some other way to be able to save quotes instead of having to reply and then go back to read the rest of the thread?

Enjoy.
It's also on the Frank blog!
In answer to Patrick, I believe Matt says in the extended interview that scripts 1 and 4 for Series 5 exist and he's read them!
I watched it and saw him say that.
Now, I'm demanding our spoiler experts around here get out of their funk over being taken in by the Moff, and get digging for stuff on Episodes 1 and 4.

The Moff may well work in different ways to RTD!

Well, he's a lucky bugger, cos he's got all this time to prepare. The real test for Moffat will come next year, when Series 6 is given the go-ahead, and when the Xmas Special 2010 needs to be written. Then we'll see if its any different to RTD...

Re: Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor
I think Russell's "leaving it to the last possible limit" approach to writing is now almost a superstition with him, from interviews I've read or heard. And from the same interviews, the first draft has been thought and re thought in his mind over a long period of time, with the actual writing being more a transposing of the words onto paper (or computer screen). I also seem to recall that he works mainly at night.72lf wrote:The Co=Ordinator wrote:Frank wrote:In answer to Patrick, I believe Matt says in the extended interview that scripts 1 and 4 for Series 5 exist and he's read them!

Moffat, meanwhile, from interviews, etc, seems to be more disciplined, but this seems to come from necessity rather than choice, as he tries to keep a nine to five working day primarily because of his children.
Whatever works for you, is what I say (as a freelancer myself, I try and keep 'normal' working hours, but I know many who sleep during the day and work at night)-it's the finished work that matters, and both Moffat and Davies are masters of their form, in my opinion.

Indeed.
Re: Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor
Do we know if Moffat has exactly the same type of role as RTD?
Russell seemed to be involved in every nook and cranny of the production of DW, as well as Torchwood and SJA (which Moff won't have anything to do with if I understand it right).
Has Moffat got the same type of role or is he more strictly a head-writer, rather than executive producer in the same way that RTD is? (I would imagine with his family-life, Moffat wouldn't want to quite immerse himself in the production in the way that Russell did)

You learn something new everyday! Great! Even though this Specials Year is a pain in the backside for the fans, as far as production of the show goes, it does make a difference. I think its this greater sense of longterm planning that allows Moffat to take more time over his scripts, not just his methods of working. And it will hopefully make a high quality show even higher quality!

When I met that nice Mr. Wenger in North London just before Christmas, he definitely said that he would sign me up in the January window.
Oh well, that's the way the chewie crumbles.

Re: Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor
I'm sure that when Eccleston was screen tested/cast, the scripts for Rose and The End Of The World were completed, so it's not too different from the runup to S1.

If its any consolation, I think you're far prettier than Matt Smith.

Only kidding Lucy! He's not a bad looking lad really. Fantastic hair!
Not a patch on Paterson Joseph or Mr Ejiofor really in terms of sheer gorgeousness, though!

Although having said that, I personally had you pegged for a major announcement concerning the august C=O's lavish new Hollywoodesque production of Aladdin!

Sid, you don't mean to say that Aladdin is featuring the mystery Mr. E, do you? Well stop the presses!
