Interesting that they've chosen someone who's appeared in Who before. I think this is a good choice, as I think she did a pretty good job in Fires of Pompeii. No details about her character, though.

I don't remember her at all from FoP, but I haven't watched it since first broadcast .

She was one of the 'chorus' of the sisters, if I recall. Since I don't recall exactly which one she was, I'm remembering the chorus as a whole.

That's pretty much all I remember, and a Google search doesn't help.

Yep. Having watched it on You-know-where, I'm pretty sure she's the one in the first post-credits scene, the one who reports the arrival of the TARDIS to the other Sisters.

Only just got back in and wondering if I should brave the madness of DWF to see how many theories this has proved/disproved and just why it signals the end of Who as we know it/just why Moffat is so much better than that terrible hack RTD.

I'm afraid DWf went down (to all, I suspect, but Patrons) about 20 minutes after the announcement. Reaction seemed positive there so far, and LevineWorld seems to like her as well.

Never mind, I'm sure that by this evening it will be a unanimous decision that she's killed Doctor Who for the next three generations.
