I got an email from Amazon.com yesterday- Doctor Who Series 5 box sets are now available for pre-order. The release date for Canadian and US stores is Tuesday, November 9, 2010, and if you pre-order it in either DVD or Blu-Ray format, you can not only get a 35% discount off the retail price, you can get free shipping.
Very Happy

The catch with Amazon, of course, is that you generally have to wait up to a week after the release date to receive it, but if you can endure the wait, you can get yourself a nice discount on Matt Smith's first series in the role. DVD format: $51.99 (retails for $79.98); Blu-Ray format: $62.99 (retails for $89.98)

Release date is just 1 day earlier over here. As ever with the Nu Series box sets, I shall be waiting until the price has come down a long way.
