Rate: "The Edge of Destruction"

We come to our third story of the inaugural season of Doctor Who, and this is something of a Ship-In-A-Bottle story, with everything happening inside the TARDIS. What did you think? Did 'Edge' have an edge? Or did it go over the cliff?

Terrible. 2/5

The wheels fell off the show, at this point. I think that, heady with the success of the previous months and giddy with the realisation that the whole shebang had made it to a third story without being laughed off the screen, the production went mad.

My opinion is that the story goes from odd to brilliant to bizarre to a bit poo, but there are too many moments of near or sheer genius in a two episode bottle show for it to be anything less than a 4/5.

Happily, everyone had calmed down and got a grip by the next one. Brief, but glorious.

A very entertaining right load of old bollocks...

I like a good bottle episode. Sometimes this one felt like it was drinking from said bottle but I still found it rather entertaining. 4/5.

I'll second Zoltar's sentiments. This was experimental television at it's most fun.
