The home of the Doctor's people is experiencing a tremendous energy drain whose origins appear to be coming from within a black hole.  So they enlist the third Doctor to investigate, and to help him, they provide him with a pair o' docs: his two former selves.  (Get it, a paradox?)

With the first Doctor playing the role of advisor, the second and third Doctors, as well as a sizeable portion of UNIT, end up travelling into the black hole, where they discover Omega, the pioneering engineer of Time Lord technology, imprisoned within his alternate, anti-matter universe.  And what's worse, his ambition is to destroy the Time Lords, and force all three Doctors to take his place within his anti-matter universe.

So, what did you think of the story that not only started a new season, but celebrated the first decade of Doctor Who?

The Three Doctor started what is, as a whole, my favourite Pertwee season. It's not actually a great story, but given the brilliant concept and seeing Pert & Trout together makes it worth 4/5.

The Pert & Trout dynamic was always loads of fun to watch! I can't help it, from start to finish, this story is just fun. I love it. 5/5.
