Halfway finished with the job of assembling the Key To Time, the Doctor decides he's entitled to a rest. Romana, who has more of a sense of urgency about completing the job of finding all six segments to the Key To Time leaves him to it, finds the fourth segment on the planet Tara, and promptly gets herself kidnapped. It seems she happens to look exactly like a member of the Taran royal family, Princess Strella, and her kidnapper, the villainous Count Grendell, has plans to use that likeness to secure the Taran throne for himself. It's up to the Doctor to ally himself with Grendell's enemy, Reynart, to prevent a cruel tyrant from usurping the balance of power. Oh, and K9 gets to do a bit of boating.

So, what did you think of the story of the 4th segment of the Key To Time? Uncanny in its Dead Ringer status? Or just dead? Let's hear from you!

This is not one of my particular favorites. It just seems to convenient we get a Romana look-alike. The villain is predictable and two dimensional, and you have a story that's sort of The Musketeers meet Westworld. It's just not a big draw for me.

2/5.

I like Tara. Lush locations, splendid costumes, Mary Tamm's favourite story. 4/5.
