Classic series toys!
My local memorabilia stockist nerd shop finally has some of the classic series figures in, so next Monday I'll be getting, at the very least, a Tom Baker and a Peter Davison.
Possibly a Zygon and a Sea Devil as well, depending on how finances stretch...

Re: Classic series toys!
I desire them all.
I shall have them all.
Especially the little action figure version of myself.

I thought that'd be your first target .
Heh. Funny story: I've been looking after a mate's place all afternoon, that just happens to be up the road from the aforementioned nerd shop. Just as I was about to type this post, he got back in from work, having stopped off at the shop to get me a thankyou prezzie...
...a Sea Devil figure.
I'm calling it Sid, of course .
Re: Classic series toys!
i have tom and the magnus greel/mr sin double pack

Re: Classic series toys!
My local shop has all of them except Colin Baker and D84. I'm sorely tempted...
Re: Classic series toys!
Oh, and apparently they'll be re-releasing them with Colin more easily available. Quite right too - I want all the bits of my K1 Robot, damnit.

They are quite gorgeous. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them and had to have them. The fully built K1 Robot is so dolly too. More please Character Options! I'd rather buy these than the new series figures.

I like the new series figures - and have many more than I'd ever planned on - but I agree with you about the classic ones. I just wish they'd done 'em 20 years ago .
Have you seen what's lined up for Wave 2?

Apparently so, and lined up for a January release, if what I remember of my occasional forays into the Toys and Merchandise section is right. Line-up is:

- Spoiler:
- 7th Doctor
8th Doctor
Tenth Planet Cyberman
Ice Warrior
Mummy (Pyramids of Mars)
Morbius Monster
Voc Robot (with choice of numbered decals)
..and the build-a-figure this time is rumoured to be the Krynoid.

I did something very similar in 1997 with The Teletubbies. Dipsy IIRC.

Agreed. It's a crime and a tragedy that there's now more good toys available than at just about any other time - but less cash on my end.Ginger Ninja wrote:I love the look of the collectors Dalek set featuring the supreme dalek from Planet of the Daleks.

Re: Classic series toys!
That Dalek collectors set is lovely, but if you get one, be warned: a lot of them seem to have been damged in transit, or in production, somehow. The arm sockets frequently stick, due to exces paint, and the top of my Supreme Dalek had sheared off.
Re: Classic series toys!
Thanks for the tip, mate - that's somewhat disappointing to hear given how CO's build quality is usually very fine indeed.Doc Filth wrote:That Dalek collectors set is lovely, but if you get one, be warned: a lot of them seem to have been damged in transit, or in production, somehow. It's a shame - I think they had to rush-produce them for some reason.
They don't look any worse on display, though...
Re: Classic series toys!
Ah, but I never just display them - I play with them. That's what toys are for at the end of the day, to be played with and loved. - Just ask Woody or Buzz Lightyear.Doc Filth wrote:It's a shame - I think they had to rush-produce them for some reason.

I now have a Zygon, Magnus Greel and Mr Sin, and Docs 4 and 5. Just missing the two robots and Doc 6. Getting there...
