Marvel Super Hero Squad
Does anyone know anything about this new animated series? I just found it here:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1388589/
It would seem it is to begin airing sometime this year, but other than that I don't know anything. It looks interesting.

Re: Marvel Super Hero Squad
Apparently there is going to be a video game based on the show. I'm hoping for some screenshots soon to show the artistic direction taken for the series. The video game should be out this fall near the debut of the tv show.

Seems to be connected to the toy line. The line features kid (or "chibi") versions of the various characters of the Marvel Universe engaging in battles. They're not unlike the Doctor Who "Time Squad" figures.

Re: Marvel Super Hero Squad
I fear you are right. The video game trailer shows how it's going to have classic costumes and the cheesy "Squad" style characterisations.

That's the trailer for the game. Now if only we could see something of the tv series. Looks like both are coming out this fall. The trailer says October for the game.
However, in September, IIRC, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 should be coming out. I'll probably stick to that.

Re: Marvel Super Hero Squad
It just looks too childish right now. I may watch a couple of episodes out of interest, but it looks like they are trying to attract the 7 and under crowd with this. Also, looks like they are attempting to introduce the Marvel universe of heroes & villains to that age group (just in time for the upcoming Avengers movie).

Re: Marvel Super Hero Squad
Can you say "Movie Tie-In"? At least it looks a little better than Marvel Super Hero Squad. It also looks to be better than the original Avengers animated series. Good grief that got to be a joke. I turned it into a drinking game. Every time Scarlet Witch says "Simon" you have to take a drink. By the end of every episode you'll be drunk.

I've seen the first two episodes, it's certainly silly. Plenty of fart jokes and action, definitely aimed at a younger crowd. The only character I enjoyed was Captain America, who seems to be a bit insane in this series.Horizon Chaser wrote:It just looks too childish right now.
