Excellent point, Zoltar. Subversion is a direction he might very well take. I suppose a lot of it might also be down to exactly how RTD has written the character.

I'd advise you seek out The Last Seduction in that case, where he plays an incredibly unlikable character. Be warned, though, it's a film utterly devoid of sympathetic characters: even the nominal hero is hard to like!

I'm not sure how much credence to put in this, but I was listening to the Doctor Who Podshock podcast earlier today, and they indicated Wayne Knight is on the list of guest characters. If this is true, I'd really like John Barrowman to say "Hello Newman" just once.
