The 30 Day Song Challenge
Lately this has been pretty popular on Facebook. Every day you post a different song that corresponds to that day's theme. I thought we should do a wrinkly edition on here.
Copied and Pasted from Facebook, here are the rules:
day 01 - your favorite song
day 02 - your least favorite song
day 03 - a song that makes you happy
day 04 - a song that makes you sad
day 05 - a song that reminds you of someone
day 06 - a song that reminds you of somewhere
day 07 - a song that reminds you of a certain event
day 08 - a song that you know all the words to
day 09 - a song that you can dance to
day 10 - a song that makes you fall asleep
day 11 - a song from your favorite band
day 12 - a song from a band you hate
day 13 - a song that is a guilty pleasure
day 14 - a song that no one would expect you to love
day 15 - a song that describes you
day 16 - a song that you used to love but now hate
day 17 - a song that you hear often on the radio
day 18 - a song that you wish you heard on the radio
day 19 - a song from your favorite album
day 20 - a song that you listen to when you’re angry
day 21 - a song that you listen to when you’re happy
day 22 - a song that you listen to when you’re sad
day 23 - a song that you want to play at your wedding
day 24 - a song that you want to play at your funeral
day 25 - a song that makes you laugh
day 26 - a song that you can play on an instrument
day 27 - a song that you wish you could play
day 28 - a song that makes you feel guilty
day 29 - a song from your childhood
day 30 - your favorite song at this time last year
Let's give it a shot

Day 1 - Favourite song
New Order's Crystal.
The album version is far far superior to the single but I can't seem to find that on Touyube, so this will do.

I would join in, however I'm not sure how to do the linky thing on here and would also find it hard to narrow down to just one favourite song

Day One: Favourite Song
Saw The Eagles at the Millennium Stadium a few years ago. Henley played this live with the rest of The Eagles. The rest of the gig was absolutely brilliant as well. A two and a half hour set, all the hits. All magic.

Day One: Favourite Song
Bob Marley - Stir It Up
I don't think I can answer what my favourite song is - it changes with the wind - but I can tell you that my favourite combination of sounds are those that make up Stir It Up. I don't know if anything will ever make me happier that the chuka-chuka guitar sound throughout this song.

Day 2 : Least Favourite Song
Alexandra Burke - Run
OK so I am stretching things here. I don't mind the original version of this song. This version is however an Abomination. For starters it is sung by the worse winner of The X Factor, even GI Joe was better than her. The main problem is that Alexandra Burke wants so much to be another Mariah Carey. The problem is the World already has one Mariah Carey, and that is one too many. Run is a simple song that Snow Patrol sing simply, it does not need all the syrupy emotions and unnecessary key changes that Alexandra Burke gives it.

2. Least Favourite Song
Cyndi Lauper - True Colours
Mawkish patronising "it'll be alright" year 3 poetry sung by a croak-voiced child. Utterly s***. One of the few reasons why I would walk out of a room.
Even so, it's probably a bit disingenous to label it as my least favourite song. At least it provokes a reaction. That's better than the hours of interchangerable RnB pop songs that fill out Galaxy fm day on day...

Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
Least favorite song...
Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love
The most irritating pile of crap ever to top the charts (so yes, that means more annoying than that sodding cartoon frog). The one of the ever irritating Girls Aloud with the least talent but the best looks and she monopolized on that with this bollocks. Irritating childish whining. However I do love the irony...

Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
Johnstone, a question please - does it have to be *songs* or can it be *pieces of music*?

Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
As I said to friend who selected this for his Day 2 on Facebook, this is a wonderful piece of music with a killer guitar solo. Its main problem is it gets slaughtered by Bryan Adam's so called singing and the dreadfully worthy yet appallingly saccharin lyrics. The Co=Ordinator wrote:Day 2.

Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
It was either this or I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
Well that particular record would certainly be Dolly Parton's Day #2 choice, as she is said to be less than enamoured by Whitney's version of her song. The Co=Ordinator wrote:It was either this or I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.
Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
No surprise there. Dolly's version is a lovely tender little song. What Houston did was an abomination.

I din't see why it can't be pieces of music. I've not made the rules, I've just copied them from Bookface.

Day 3 - A Song that makes you happy
Half Man Half Biscuit - Bob Wilson Anchorman
I don't think a song that tells me to be happy would work. A song that tells me that the songwriter can't get his head around Bob Wilson, anchorman, on the other hand...

Re: The 30 Day Song Challenge
Day 3 Song that makes me Laugh.
David Bowie and Mick Jagger - "Dancing in the Street"
OK, so it is actually the video to this song that makes me laugh. Basically Bowie prancing around in his pyjamas and a flasher mac, whilst wearing so much make-up it must have been put on with a trowel.

Day 4.
Tricky one this. A song that makes you feel "sad" doesn't mean you don't love it all the same! So on that basis my choice is.
