It was essentially an uneasy mix; I don't think the punk nihilism and anti-authoritarian stuff really fits with Bond anyway. The only way for it to work is to completely ignore the content of the song, and just assume that you're audience is thick enough to go with it.

London Calling long ago became an *anthemic* for anyone song. It is still brilliant though. But I wish people would discover the wonders of the likes of this belter.
