I'm curious, oh Cyber one: what was the source of this information on Mr. Thompson's script?

You mean you're trying to start that rumour by propogating it around the internet. On the basis of your comments on your own forum, it's just as likely that there will be cameos from Paul Gray and Chantelle Houghton.
While I think having the Bassist from Slipknott show up as a monster could be legitimately awesome, I can't help feeling that Chantelle would be badly miscast.

Invalid response. You are not addressing the key point that any spoiler revelations appearing on a BBC website have to be ultra subtle. Its a clever game they play. Those in the know get it, but it can always be denied.

You have no idea how happy you've just made me.
Nevertheless, I await the use of "Wait and Bleed" as a musical lietmotif in the Christmas special.
Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
This is a joke right? The "evidence" is that there is also a story (or was) about Prince Harry and Wand Erection on the right hand side of this page.

For all Spara's idiosyncrasies, even he knows that news Websites just blindly link to "today's other stories", rather than some subtle Doctor Who spoiler agenda.

Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
Dialogue we overheard at last night's filming in Cardiff
The "script" isn't word-for-word perfect, but you get the idea!
Some parts might be in the wrong order - I'm not sure. They filmed a few variations of the same scene. (It was a very long scene - four and a half pages, apparently!)
Doctor: I like your house!
Clara: It's not mine - I just work there.
Doctor: Oh, yes! You look after the children, you're a governess! Just like - Um. Just like...
Clara: Just like what?
Doctor: Just like I thought you would be ... ! But this isn't exactly a career choice, why here?
Clara: Well, my Mum died, I had no ties, no plans, so why not?
Doctor: People always have plans.
Clara: What's your plan?
Doctor: It's the internet. Wifi. There's wifi everywhere around us. We are living in a wifi soup. But, imagine. If there was something in it. Something living in the wifi. Harvesting human minds, copying them, editing them. A million souls, trapped like flies in the World Wide Web, all crying out.
Clara: Isn't that basically Twitter?
Doctor: Yes. Sentient Twitter! Hold on... (inaudible) ... And you just made a joke about Twitter?!
[Something happens behind them]
Clara: Is it the wifi? Is the wifi switching the lights on?
Doctor: No, the people are switching on the lights. The wifi is switching on the people!
Doctor: You and me - in the box! Now!
Clara: What? Together? Why?
Doctor: You'll understand once we're inside.
Clara: I bet I will!
Doctor: [shocked] Clara! Please!
Clara: Why do you have a box anyway? What's in there?
Doctor: Clara! ... [whispers] Clara, look... behind you!
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. [Director shouts this, as The Doctor and Clara look to different areas. A shadowed man is standing in the distance.]
Clara: What are they?
Doctor: A walking base station. You saw it earlier.
Clara: I saw a little girl.
Doctor: Of course! Active camouflage! They drew an image from your subconscious and bounced it right back at you! ... In the box, now!

Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
The scene that we think directly precedes the above;
The Doctor is on the driveway of the house where Clara works. The Tardis is parked up and a robot is lying on a workbench, with the Doctor sat beside it on a netbook. Clara leans out of the attic window at the side of the house.
CLARA: Hello?
The Doctor looks up. He stands, putting the netbook on the chair.
DOCTOR: Hello! Are you feeling better?
CLARA: I'm in bed.
DOCTOR: Yes.
CLARA: I don't remember going.
DOCTOR: No.
CLARA: What happened?
The Doctor pulls out a piece of paper and moves over towards the house.
DOCTOR: Oo, quite a lot actually. Angie called and left a message - she's staying over at Nina's. Apparently that shouldn't be a problem. For god's sake get off her back! Also Dad phoned, complaining about the government, he seemed very cross with them. I've got several pages on that. I said I'd look into it. I fixed that rattling noise in the washing machine, indexed the kitchen cupboards, optimised the photosynthesis in the flowerbeds, I assembled a quadricycle..
CLARA: Assembled a what?
DOCTOR: I found a disassembled quadricycle in the garage.
CLARA: Okay
DOCTOR: I invented the quadricycle!
CLARA: What happened?
DOCTOR: Goodnight Clara.
Clara withdraws back into her bedroom, closing the window. Clara bursts back out of the window.
CLARA: Are you guarding me?
DOCTOR: Well yes, yes I am.
CLARA: Am I in trouble? (We think this is the right dialogue.)
DOCTOR: Yes I think so
CLARA: Are they still out there? (Again, not certain.)
DOCTOR: Yes I do think they are, probably
CLARA: Are you seriously going to sit down there all night?
DOCTOR: Yes I promise, I won't budge from this spot.
CLARA: Well then, I'll have to come to you!
The Doctor flusters, stands up and brushes his hair back. He moves over to the robot and starts fiddling with the leg of the robot - using a spanner on the knee and pulling/extending the leg.

Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
This picture more or less confirms my assumption that the ordinary Ice Warriors were just wearing armour, and it wasn't really their skin. It struck me that the Ice Lords showed the normal Martian body shape, but not their face, because they were wearing helmets. I wonder if we will get to see what they look like in civvies?
Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
Allegedly we see one with his helmet off. The question seems to be whether or not that is David Warner.

People mock, but that's 50% of the reason the Sontaran/Rutan war lasted so long.
The Rutan equivalent is a bit like a full-on Busby Berkley number. Essentially, the pre-hostility dance numbers massively elongated the war (and caused a catastrophic sequin shortage across the eastern spiral arm of the galaxy).

Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
Here are some spoilers. As always, there may be howlers in here as well - who knows? That's for time to tell, it always does.
50th Anniversary Special
Executive Producer. Steven Moffat.
Working Title “Doctor Who?” written by Steven Moffat.
Directed by Nick Hurran.
Filming April 2013.
Running Time. 90 minutes.
Matt Smith as the Doctor
David Tennant as The Doctor
John Hurt as The Doctor
??? as The Doctor
Jenna Louise Coleman as Clara Oswald
Billie Piper as Rose Tyler
Joanna Page as Queen Elizabeth I
Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart
John Hurt is an incarnation The Doctor himself has forgotten about. In his timeline, this Doctor comes between the 8th and, what we thought was, the 9th. It was this Doctor fought the Time War, not McGann's or Eccleston's. He was so ashamed, and the Time War was so traumatic, that he regenerated.
We discover that the Hartnell Doctor is running from himself, as it was the Hurt version that advised him to leave Gallifrey in the first place. Hence Hurt’s Doctor’s TARDIS is the same as The First, and will use the interiors built for An Adventure in Space and Time. Notwithstanding this "new" Doctor, the will be no change in their numbering.
At the end of the episode there is a further surprise as The 12th Doctor appears. This shows Smith’s Doctor that his time is nearly over..............
Christmas Special
Executive Producer. Steven Moffat.
Working Title “Twelfth Night” written by Steven Moffat.
Filming September 2013
Running Time. 60 minutes
Matt Smith as the Doctor
??? as The Doctor
Jenna Louise Coleman as Clara Oswald
The Eleventh Hour reaches its final minute, as The Doctor regenerates into his 12th Incarnation.
Series 8
Executive Producer. Steven Moffat.
Filming 2014.
12 x 45 minute episodes.
??? as The Doctor
Jenna Louise Coleman as Clara Oswald

Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
It's interesting that Mr. Moffat is making such a big deal out of revealing the answers to two questions which haven't mattered for 50 years.
Genuinely, does anyone care what the Doctor's name is or why he left Gallifrey?

Haven't mattered? I respectfully disagree.
First question: The Name. The Doctor's actual name is something I can remember being teased about on several occasions. Colin Baken once came close to saying it on Ravalox, for instance. Why has he hidden it? The point isn't what is is name, the point is why has been so reluctant, for 50 years of fandom, to say it, or have it spoken?
Second question: Leaving Gallifrey. Again, I don't think that's the point of the asking. This goes back to the question of who is he? Why does he do what he does?
I think Moffat's plan is to deposit a huge bit of mythology about the Doctor, and Time Lords, like likes of which we haven't seen since "The War Games."

Patrick wrote: The point isn't what is is name, the point is why has been so reluctant, for 50 years of fandom, to say it, or have it spoken?
He wasn't at all shy about Lady Peinforte revealing it, and more, in Silver Nemesis. I know that sometimes it's better to pretend that Silver Nemesis didn't happen, but the best writing in that story happens around the relationship between the Doctor and the woman who wants to be his nemesis. The Doctor treats his secrets indifferently, casually, and thus robs them of any power. His name doesn't matter. It's what he does that's important.
Worse, the Doctor's name and Timelord mythology are only ever limiting factors on the ongoing story. Regenerating 13 times, back when there were so many left, seemed like a good idea. But if the spoiler above is accurate, we're on the runup to the last Doctor. The Timelords were awesome when we only saw them at the end of The War Games. But now we've met loads and ones who aren't Romana are a bit rubbish. That's part of RTD's reason for killing them off - look how cool they were when we saw them through the Doctor's eyes, and look how they turned out to be at the end of The Time War.
I think we're up for some Moffat trickery. I think this is part of, for want of a better term, a Long Con and I'll be entertained to see how Moffat and Co pull this off.
Re: The All-New Spoiler Thread
The names of the last four episodes of Series 7 have been revealed, along with some spiffy posters:
Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS (why do they have to misspell Center?)
The Crimson Horror
Nightmare In Silver
And, inevitably:
The Name Of The Doctor
What was it Dorium said at the end of "The Wedding of River Song"?
"At the fields of Tranzalore, at the fall of the Eleventh, the question will be asked. The question, hiding in plain sight, which must never be answered." I think there's a bit of substance to what C=O posted.
