Rate "Four to doomsday"
finally got round to seeing this on DVD.
bit of a curates egg- some "hilarious" chinese racism, lots of people dancing, stratford johns as a giant frog, some nice sets, awful music, dodgy space walk scene and matthew waterhouse.
nonetheless i have very fond memories of the first Davison series and i still quite enjoyed this.

1/5.
Haven't seen this for a while, but I remember it as a story with some great ideas (eg an alien trying to travel back in time to meet himself as God), but a very flat, dull story.
And I can distinctly remember the three companions really irritating me. If I was the Doctor, and Adric and Tegan acted as they did in this story, I'd have chucked them out of the TARDIS airlock at the first opportunity. With relish.

Re: Rate "Four to doomsday"
I think this story was hurt by the fact that it was the first one produced, even before Castrovalva. I think Davison was still feeling his way into the part, and wasn't being given a whole lot of help.
I like the set designs, but the story itself just seemed to miss the mark. I gave it a two.
