The series-long mystery of missing planets (the Adipose breeding planet, the homeworld of the Pyrovales, the lost moon of Poosh, etc) comes to head as Earth disappears, literally right from under the TARDIS. The Doctor and Donna are left to puzzle the clues on where it could have been taken.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Medusa Cascade, Sarah Jane Smith, Martha Jones and the Torchwood team are only beginning to discover the scope of what the Earth's relocation means. And from across the barrier that separates realities, Rose Tyler has popped up. Series 4 heads to its climax as an old foe of the Doctor's is revealed to be heart of the missing 26 planets, and a glancing blow from a Dalek appears to be the catalyst for an unexpected regeneration of the Doctor.

So what did you think? Was "The Stolen Earth" a brilliant heist, or a failed robbery? Let's be hearing from you!

May I just say that Dusty Orb sounds like the name of a member of a Punk Band from 1977.

I was pondering giving this either a 4 or a 5, and went with 5/5. It was a big, mad story full of great characters with a fantastic cliffhanger. Exciting stuff on first viewing, still brings a smile to my face.

I gave this one a 5/5, for that cliffhanger moment alone. But it was truly great to see the casts of SJA and Torchwood coming back to the parent show. It really gave it an epic feel. And the return of Davros- how excellent was that?
