Well, I guess you in the UK are feeling pretty smug now. San Diego Comic Con only got a silly trailer and you all got a hash tag! #savetheday.Patrick wrote:The wrote:75 countries apparently. So you'll be able to watch it on the Saturday lunchtime. Bloody disgrace if you ask me, it should be kept from you for at least 2 years.

Re: Anniversary & Christmas Specials pre-transmission discussion
I'm afraid they (BBC ONE) is about to add insult to injury with a "promised trailer" that actually is only a reflection of the past 50 years and not a trailer for Day of the Doctor. Raspberries for them.

BBC-America has starting playing the trailer as of today. I quite enjoyed seeing the jelly babies suspended in the air.

Re: Anniversary & Christmas Specials pre-transmission discussion
My favourite bit is towards the end when a red digital display reading 17:16 23:11:63 flashes into sight. It may be a little thing buried deep in the sixty second feast of nostalgia in that trailer, but it appealed to me at a fundamental level.
Re: Anniversary & Christmas Specials pre-transmission discussion
If you pause the playback just after the camera pans past Clara, you get that lovely group shot. Some of those poses remind me of the board models Borusa was using in The Five Doctors. A frame by frame forward reveals that in the group shot is McCoy, Davison, Billie Piper, an Ood, an Auton and McGann to the left, and C. Baker, Eccelston, and Tennant to the right. There's someone behind Eccleston I can quite see- could be either Alex Kingston or Karen Gilian. And there's some really nice touches in the backgrounds, too. Flying saucer over Big Ben, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Did you notice there's a face carved into the stone on the peak where Smith is standing? Who is that?

Re: Anniversary & Christmas Specials pre-transmission discussion
My fanwankmeter went into overdrive initially. Looking further though, another version has been passed at 76m 44s.
Wonder if that's what we'll get on 23rd November, and then to hook us in to buy the DVD/Blu Ray there'll be an additional 8m 40s. Which, I'm guessing, may include alleged internet/red button only content.

- Spoiler:
- Including McGann regenerating into Hurt. Possibly. Maybe.

Re: Anniversary & Christmas Specials pre-transmission discussion
Actually, C=O, I have to say I heard the same thing as Rich on this weekend's Radio Free Skaro podcast.
I'll tell you what, though. We're now less than a month to the big event. Shouldn't we be starting to get actual trailers for the special by now?

We're now less than three weeks away from the anniversary, itself. You'd think we'd have seen a trailer for the special by now.
