The Doctor's exile to Earth has been lifted by his fellow Time Lords, and the Doctor celebrates by taking Jo on a little time travel trip. Initially, it appears they've arrived on a cargo ship sometime in the 1920s, at least until the Doctor realizes from the ship's name that it actually disappeared many years ago without a trace. A bit of investigation reveals that the ship and everyone on board are trapped within a Miniscope, an outlawed device that's also serving as home to a complete menagerie of frightful creatures.
So, what did you think of Carnival of Monsters?

Re: Rate "Carnival Of Monsters"
I have to say I really enjoyed this little story. Kind of a variation on concepts the show has explored before, but done pretty well, and in a way that suspends the big reveal until just the right moment. I give it 4/5.
There's a podcast I listen to called Radio Free Skaro, and they periodically feature a retrospective look back at either a director's or producer's contributions to Doctor Who in a segment they call "The Miniscope." They open the segment with Pertwee's line: "Just as I thought, a Miniscope. Now this is outrageous! Who is responsible for this?!" Every time they play that, I think of Drashigs.

An extremely witty, and inventive, script by Bob Holmes. Season 10 was consistently good. 4/5.
