I'd pay good money to host that!
I wonder if Skinner will guest at a convention in due course. Especially as he did that cameo in The Five (ish) Doctors Revisited.

Filming at Aberavon Beach, with a familiar looking outfit being worn.

I don't care if this is "unofficial." It's magic. Pure magic...

Probably better than a proper trailer will actually be, when it arrives.

And now with talk of a feature length episode entitled Deep Breath. As the premiere is set in Victorian London and features the Paternosta Gang I wounder if we will get this exchange.Patrick wrote:Rumor mill is running amok with the idea that Series 8 will start on Saturday, August 23rd.
Doctor: Deep Breath, Clara.
Clara: In this corset? I don't think so.
Re: Series 8 news and beyond - may contain spoilers!
I see that episode title as having a lot of potential to be parodied.

I am determined to remain unspoiled. Seeing the production stills the C=O has provided is enough for the moment, particularly when we're only about six weeks away from the launch of Series 8. So I will not go seeking details on those first five stories.
I'll bet a certain Moffinator is not pleased about this leak.

I got the impression they were released in error rather than maliciously but I may well be completely wrong there. Either way it is a shame and I definitely don't want to see them or to stumble across detailed descriptions of their content.

I'm in complete agreement with you, Andrea. I don't want to know the plots beforehand, either.

I have to admit that I let curiosity get the better of me and I read Deep Breath. That has satisfied my hunger though and I've deleted the others. Looks like we're on for a good series though.

I want to completely surprised by Peter Capaldi. BBC-America is currently showing him in "The Musketeers," and you simply forget just how good he is.

I read the first three, but haven't got beyond page 19 of the 4th script so far. For me Robots of Sherwood read best, probably because it has quite a lot of witty banter and interaction between Robin Hood/Doctor and Sheriff/Clara.

C=O, you're just getting the raw script. There's no directorial style, no acting choices on display. As far as I'm concerned, it's just another form of a Terrance Dicks novelization: lovely to have, but no replacement for watching the real thing first.

Re: Series 8 news and beyond - may contain spoilers!
A young lad I know told me his brother had downloaded the scripts. Neither of them had actually read them at that point and I squeaked that I didn't want to know.
Given my usual inability to understand what is going on in an episode I may however ask to be sent each script after the episode has aired so that I can study it in detail, make notes, cross reference things and so forth in an attempt to actually fully understand things for once...

Re: Series 8 news and beyond - may contain spoilers!
Series 8 Update
Remember, this is the spoiler section, though there's nothing outrageous here!!
Apart from Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, Samuel Anderson, Ellis George and Michelle Gomez will all make multiple appearances this year.
1. Deep Breath. Written by Steven Moffat. Directed by Ben Wheatley.
The Paternoster Gang and the Clockwork Droids return, alongside a T-Rex in Victorian era Thames.
2.Into the Dalek. Written by Phil Ford. Directed by Ben Wheatley.
Fantastic Voyage and The Invisible Enemy seem to have influenced this year's Dalek tale.
3. Robots of Sherwood. Written by Mark Gatiss. Directed by Paul Murphy.
The Doctor and Clara meet Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Plenty of joshing banter in this one.
4. Listen. Written by Steven Moffat. Directed by Douglas Mackinnon.
“When you talk to yourself, what if the person you’re talking to isn’t really you?” Features a minotaur-like monster, plus Danny Pink, a teacher at Coal Hill School. Anderson (not his first appearance by the way).
5. Time Heist Written by Steve Thompson. Directed by Douglas Mackinnon.
The Doctor and Clara come face to face with the mysterious Ms Delphox
6.The Caretaker. Written by Gareth Roberts. Directed by Paul Murphy.
The Doctor is Coal Hill School's caretaker. Why?
7. Kill The Moon. Written by Peter Harness. Directed by Paul Wilmshurst.
Partially filmed in Lanzarote, sadly not the follow up to Planet of Fire AFAIK!
8. Mummy on the Orient Express. Written by Jamie Mathieson. Directed by Paul Wilmshurst.
Guest cast includes Frank Skinner’s and Singer-songwriter Foxes.
9. Flatline. Written by Jamie Mathieson. Directed by Douglas Mackinnon.
People are going missing and strange graffiti is appearing. Meanwhile, the Doctor finds himself in a shrinking TARDIS.
10. Child's Play. Written by Frank Cottrell Boyce. Directed by Sheree Folkson.
Last episode of the series to be filmed, the cast will feature child actors.
11 & 12. The Gates of Paradise/Death in Heaven. Written by Steven Moffat. Directed by Rachel Talalay.
A two-part finale. Features Cybermen and UNIT. The Doctor also has to contend with the mysterious Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere.
Some of the titles are speculation. I still believe we'll see The Master, but he's being kept firmly under wraps. There is a story arc through the series.
