Re: Rate "Death In Heaven"
- So, the version I saw on Tuesday didn't have the final grade on the graveyard scenes, which were played out in brilliant sunshine. This version was truly creepy.
- I loved the scene between The Doctor and Missy about ruling the World.
- Flying Cybermen.
- Wasn't Jenna Coleman seen filming for the Christmas Special?
- I'm sure that was Zygon Osgood who got toasted by the Master.
- Yay, Sion Corn is in the Christmas episode, and its set at the North Pole.

Jesus holy shitballs, that was terrible. The script for Last Of The Time Lords stuck in a blender with some grimdark nonsense, then vomited upon a wall for Moffat to write down and pretend it was an actual story. For the first time since it came back, I'm really not sure if I want to watch the next episode.
Re: Rate "Death In Heaven"
I'm glad it's not just me then Councillor! I watched it with The Ninja and his mate, and we all thought it was terrible.
As for what Moffat has done to The Master - not just changing sex - but the character. Those who criticised the OTT performance of John Simm, well Gomez makes him seem understated and restrained.

So... hold on... can someone explain something to me? Does this mean the Brigadier is now a Cyberman?

Re: Rate "Death In Heaven"
That episode was, without doubt, the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. I mean, I enjoyed Michelle Gomez. You want a villain to be completely over the top. But the plot holes in this story were big enough to drop Gallifrey into.

Re: Rate "Death In Heaven"
I was quite engaged for the first quarter of an hour or so but then felt it went rapidly down a very steep hill. It felt like Moffat had kept rewriting it and sticking more and more in. I felt as if I was being emotionally manipulated amid a lot of surface spectacle but there was no substance.

Poor Brigadier. A brilliant military career helping to fend off all those alien invasions on the 1980s 1970s, and this is his reward.

I still can't make up my mind about this one. I didn't mind Missy. Still very uncomfortable over the Brig. The 'where else would he be' line got to me...but I didn't like the concept at all.
The Classic Who fans at work were not best pleased, I can tell you.
