Absolutely stunning!

Better than awesome.

Brilliant stuff.

As close to perfect as I have ever seen.

For five episodes, I have been held completely. Completely. The only adjective I can find at the moment to describe Children of Earth is... powerful.

5/5. And the interesting thing is, years from now, decades from now, when future generations are watching this story, I predict it will be just as powerful.

A cruel and punishing series that is worth a 5-vote more than any other that I have seen for years.

So grim that I'm going to watch Scum, Nil by Mouth, Happiness and The War Zone today for light relief.

Definitely 10/10.

Hello I cannot remember the last time any mini series or television show evoked so much discussion and challenged us quite so poignantly to really think about things.. absolutely brilliant!

An absolutely outstanding five hours of television, probably the very best for years, and certainly one of the very best science fiction stories of any genre ever written.. If a BAFTA isn't given to Peter Capaldi for his performance alone, then there is something seriously wrong with the people who choose where and who these awards go to..

I do agree about Peter Capaldi. Totally.

I did enjoy the show but I'm a lot less enthousiastic than all of you.

I even received a letter from my friend in prison today saying how much he and his colleagues were enjoying it.

Definitely. Only bribery or blackmail could prevent an unbiased judge from showering Mr Capaldi with prizes.

Well! I would like to know what happened to Peter Capaldi's BAFTA! Yes, that's right, he didn't get one.. Indeed, Children of Earth got nothing at all.. Something is sorely amiss me thinks...

I agree with you, John the Vic, Children of Earth was so awesome it should have awards. Especially Peter Capaldi, for his brilliant performance.

I guess we could remedy this and give him an OWA: Outpost Wrinkly Award - or something like that !

If you get him to join the forum, we'll give him all the awards we can find.

TV Bafta's aren't for another couple of months. Not, sad to say, that I expect the brilliant Mr. Capaldi to get anything.

I was going to say- I thought the TV BAFTAs happened later in the year.

Fingers crossed that Torchwood: Children of Earth does take home some trophies!

Speaking of Torchwood, do we know anything about the fate of the show?
