In which case you'd better step up the fleecing of the newbies.
I suppose we've gone far enough off track here Mr Q. Shall we do a quick 180?

Now, there were some terrific performance in the film in question. I was very impressed by the standard of the acting.

Really? Well, I was in the same boat up until a few days ago. But I really do recommend you see it at first chance. It is a genuinely fine film. The Co=Ordinator wrote:And I STILL haven't seen it.

There's a version on the way that will...Sid Seadevil wrote:I saw an 'extended version' which ran for well over three hours - but didn't include the 'Black Freighter' segment. Which wasn't a problem as I already have that anyway.

Finally saw the movie, I enjoyed it a lot. The alterations to the ending work in my opinion. The actors who played Comedian, Rorschach and Nite Owl (both) in particular were excellent.

Re: Who'll Be Watching The Watchmen?
Rorschach's Journal 13th July 2009.
Around me, the city sweats fear and cheap whiskey. The movie was good - everything we'd been told to expect. Only back story about Comedian felt stretched and ugly, like extended neck of yelling whore.
Where did he find list? How did he uncover Veidt's plot? Perhaps 5 disc extended edition reveals more. Would investigate but, at three hours, Director's Cut seems more than enough. Glad I didn't see it in cinema. Imagine room full of fanboys with thirstbuster cups of soda and buckets of jaundice-buttered popcorn yelling at screen, screaming "We need the bathroom!", Zack Snyder looking down and whispering "No".

Re: Who'll Be Watching The Watchmen?
A note on the altered ending...
- Spoiler:
- I liked that one of the screens on the device said "S.Q.U.I.D. energizing". Looks like there was a squid in the movie after all.

Yup, they changed the ending mut forgot to establish the details of the thing.
