Your question has been answered: we now know for a fact that you won't concur with every one of my reviews.

Can I at least go "Hai!" a few times and blame it on the third Doctor?

I don't think there's much that me and Patrick will agree on - I'm getting the impression he prefers the less silly end of the franchise, whereas that's where I think the charm lies. I think A View to a Kill is useless... we in a similar ballpark there?

Well, I love a good spy thriller, but I don't think it's the serious vs. silly stuff in the Bond franchise that bothers me. I'll go into this in greater detail when I get to my reviews of Thunderball and You Only Live Twice, but what consistently frustrates me are the plot holes in some of these storylines.
I didn't mind A View To A Kill, such as it was, but I was disappointed that so much of the big plan was full of ideas heavily borrowed from Goldfinger.

Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
Dr. No; From Russia With Love; Goldfinger; On Her Majesty's Secret Service; Live and Let Die; The Man With the Golden Gun; The Spy Who Loved Me; The Living Daylights; Goldeneye; The World Is Not Enough; Casino Royale;
Quantum of Solace- what a letdown after casino royale. craig does a good job but the story is forgettable, -something about water?- the music, girls and villain are all pretty unmemorable.
a few decent set pieces but that's about it - i'm hoping for a lot better next time around.

it's probably the most stylish of them all- a couple of great villains in grant and klebb, fantastic istanbul locations....probably not at the absolute top but near enough....i'd put it above dr no personally....

Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
I was just watching The Spy Who Loved Me last night. The audio commentary features Lewis Gilbert and Sir Ken Adam. Sir Ken is a set designing genius. Did you know that in order to properly light that set- because it was so big- Ken secretly brought Stanley Kubrick in as a consultant?
Alrighty then...
Dr. No; Goldfinger; On Her Majesty's Secret Service; Live and Let Die; The Living Daylights; Goldeneye; The World Is Not Enough; Casino Royale;
The gold has started turning green on The Man With The Golden Gun- arguably the weakest of the films remaining.

Live and Let Die. How strange that one of the weakest Moore's is the last to go.

Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
Of the four remaining, hmm. Tough choice.
Goldfinger; On Her Majesty's Secret Service; Goldeneye
The World Is Not Enough. In a lot of ways, it's paying direct homage to OHMSS, but I had a hard time coming to accept Sophie Moreau as a villain, and an even harder time thinking Denise Richards could act.
