Great News! The Dacia Sandero.... er, sorry. Wrong thread.

A release date for Bond 23 (the working title) has been announced: October 26, 2012. Sam Mendez is set to direct. Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench are confirmed as reprising their roles as Bond and M, respectively. Rumored additional cast include Sir Anthony Hopkins and Javier Bardem.

If they're confident enough to announce a release date 18 months out, they must be pretty happy with the script.

They've got a script this time! They started filming the last one without one.

One would hope they have. After all, they've had the better part of three years since QoS to develop it.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service; Goldeneye

Goldfinger, probably the best film of the three remaining, but it's the one I enjoy the least.

Good luck in choosing the winner whoever comes next, the two remaining are probably my top two...

NOT GOLDFINGER! Oh, crap. I was really hoping that would win. Right, I'm setting my alarm clock to get up ultra early in order to eliminate the only story that should be eliminated at this point.

Too late Patrick. Probably to most people's horror, I'm going to get rid of OHMSS. Which leaves Goldeneye as the winner.

I am invincible! Laughing

Goldeneye? Pah. That's democracy for you.

Let's have a coup and reinstate Goldfinger, which is the best one, and everyone knows it.

Shall we do the reverse elimination game (worst story) as well? Chose one to save every 20 hours, leaving us at the end with the least favourite.

Okay - I'm saving You Only Live Twice. I saw it at the pictures last year which was interesting - everybody was laughing through most of it.

Like most Bond films it's stupid and absurd - and Bond is also an hilariously snobbish character. Big guffaws for the line where Bond talks about the proper temperature to serve Sake, the 'japping up' of Bond drew huge laughs, as did Bond being trapped in his chair on the plane by a piece of wood.

Goldeneye won? Bah. I'm with Rich. I should have been Goldfinger.

Which is why I'm going to save Auric. I've also removed Barnaby's selection of Diamonds Are Forever.

I think Lazenby could have been a good Bond if we'd seen him in more movies. Apparently, he got bad advice from his agent. Bit of trivia: after Connery departed following You Only Live Twice, one of the actors Cubby Broccoli approached to take over the role was a 25 year old Timothy Dalton, who turned the part down because he thought he was too young.

Well, since OHMSS has been saved...

From Russia With Love; Thunderball; The Man With the Golden Gun; The Spy Who Loved Me; For Your Eyes Only; Octopussy; Never Say Never Again; A View To A Kill; The Living Daylights; Licence to Kill; Goldeneye; Tomorrow Never Dies; The World Is Not Enough; Die Another Day

Casino Royale is saved. I liked the reboot.
