The Amazing Blofeld-man! (?)
On my "To Do" list during my upcoming visit is a James Bond tour of filming locations used in and around London. It concludes with a speed boat trip down the Thames. Prepare yourselves, Londoners. The Fast Liver is coming!

Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
The paperwork is signed. Bond 24 is due to hit theaters 23 October 2015 in the UK, and 6 November 2015 in the US. Principal photography is due to commence this autumn. Sam Mendez will direct, John Logan returns to script-writing, Daniel Craig makes a fourth outing as Bond, and we all get to watch.
So, original Ian Fleming title ("The Hildebrand Rarity") or something original yet Fleming-esque?

What makes you think that? My email to Eon suggesting Dr Defnitely Not, Dr It's Not Happening and Dr It's Still No And I Really Wish You'd Stop Asking as a trilogy?Patrick wrote:I get the sense you aren't taking this entirely seriously, Councillor.

Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
That's being rewritten as From Romford With Love. It'll be Danny Dyer's first movie as Bond.Patrick wrote:I hear their response was also reject "From Colchester With Love."
Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
Danny Dyer? I thought his first turn as Bond was in "Egos Are Forever."

Re: Universal Exports - The James Bond Thread
John Cleese: "The audiences in Asia are not going for the subtle British humor or the class jokes," said the British comedy legend, who appeared in two Pierce Brosnan Bond films."
Interesting article. Cleese's thesis is that EON Productions has discarded British wit in an effort to attract Asian audiences. I call the arrival of Daniel Craig in the part the Fourth Age of Bond, and I certainly agree with Mr. Cleese on the point that since Casino Royale, there has been a definite change in tone in the films, particularly with some of the British humor being set by the wayside. I don't know if that was done with the specific intention of attracting Asian audiences, or if it was a conscious decision to mute some of that as you presented Bond at the beginning of his Double-Oh career, before all that wit had a chance to develop.
What do you think? Do you agree with Cleese?

It's Been Confirmed! Script read-throughs for Bond 24 will happen in late November, with Principal Photography set to start on Friday, December 6, 2014. Except a load of casting announcements between now and then.
