Re: Missing Episodes
No chance of Web 3 making an amazing appearance then?
It's season 4 I'm most interested in seeing some of, any likelihood of something from there?

Re: Missing Episodes
This has come to light recently. Don't know how accurate it is or whatever but it's an interesting read.

What if he does? Maybe all of Capaldi's directorial experience has helped him uncover lost Who episodes, and they've cast him because he's promised to give them Marco Polo at the end of his first series? The" co="Ordinator wrote:Who knows eh?

No. Just old ones. Seems like Morris is sitting on loads. He needs to be careful to avoid becoming public enemy number 1 to some folk.

Re: Missing Episodes
The BFI event today has effectively revealed that Mr. Morris may have not been telling the truth when he said that his shipment was 'cultural material' and in fact it's a sh!tload of old telly! Who'd have thunk it?

Re: Missing Episodes
The following is to be taken with the biggest pinch of salt possible.
Marco Polo - 2 copies found by Phil Morris, 1 copy from a collector, all need to be combined to produce the best quality complete version.
Reign of Terror - episodes 4 & 5 found, all good copies, shouldn't be a problem to get ready at any time.
The Crusade - both missing episodes found, all 4 episodes now back. Julian Glover was told it was back before the 50th.
The Time Meddler - duplicate copy found, much better quality than we have, all complete.
Galaxy 4 - all episodes now found, all complete including a duplicate of episode 3.
Mission To The Unknown - probably back, believe it was in Singapore and shipped to Ghana for Phil Morris to pick it up and ship it back to the UK in 2011.
The Myth Makers - either 3 or 4 episodes found.
Dalek Masterplan - Up to 5 episodes may be recovered. If so it's across 3 separate recoveries all UK collectors.
The Massacre - all back, being prepared, restoration has at least started, it may even have finished. DVD preparation was started in November.
Celestial Toymaker - all back, work started on this after the Massacre.
The Savages - all back, but other titles are taking priority.
The War Machines - all back, believed to be complete, including the missing material.
The Smugglers - all found, possibly to be released this year.
Tenth Planet - episode 4 found, possibly twice. At least one copy was found in the UK. Don’t expect it soon, but it will be announced this year.
Power of the Daleks - all episodes found, 3 separate finds, probably all from collectors. At least one episodes was in bits, so some material may still be missing. If they are, the gaps can be filled with some work, so we should be able to get the complete thing.
The Highlanders - all complete, this will probably be one of the last stories released.
The Underwater Menace - all found, animation now stopped. Duplicates exist of the episodes of this story, the DVD will be released with the original episodes, probably in the summer.
The Moonbase - all found, not sure how this pans out for the DVD.
The Macra Terror- all found, possibly being restored now, so not long to wait for it.
The Faceless Ones - all found, but no real info on condition or anything else.
The Evil of the Daleks- all found, all in great condition!
The Abominable Snowmen - all found, water damage to some episodes. Should be fine, but will need specialist work to ensure it can be recovered.
The Ice Warriors - probably one episode found, one still missing.
The Web of Fear - episode 3 exists, not in bad condition, found same time as the rest. May not be on the DVD if the DVD release date doesn’t move, but this will be announced this year.
Fury from the Deep - all found.
Wheel in Space- probably 3 more episodes found.
Invasion - one found, one still missing.
The Space Pirates - 2 episodes found.
Marco Polo - 2 copies found by Phil Morris, 1 copy from a collector, all need to be combined to produce the best quality complete version.
Reign of Terror - episodes 4 & 5 found, all good copies, shouldn't be a problem to get ready at any time.

Re: Missing Episodes
Wow, that's a hell of a rumor. I haven't been keeping up with 'missing episode megathread part 400' (I have a job after all), so this is the first I'm seeing it.
And I was just saying to Mrs. Hacky that I was nearly done with buying DVDs. I guess that's why I have a job--so I can afford Who DVDs.

Re: Missing Episodes
Well, if every episode on that list has been found and if none of the odd episodes duplicate existing odd episodes and if none are damaged beyond repair we'd be down to only 10-12 missing episodes, if my counting is correct. Which takes us into the 'our wildest dreams' region...

Re: Missing Episodes
Latest alleged news is that an announcement will be made on 22nd April. 5 stories are meant to be being worked on at the moment. Marco Polo still hot favourite to be next release.

Thanks, C=O. Perfectly summarized so that I don't have to wade through missing ep megatheads.
I can't wait to find out what I should be complaining about on April 22.
