Re: The Torchwood Hub
Great to see Rich yesterday, and I'm in complete agreement with him.
Children of Earth is Torchwood reinvented as an urban thriller with a dash of the Quatermass Conclusion thrown in for good measure. Messers Barrowman, Davies, Lynn and Miles were on hand for a question and answer session afterwards and all were in good form, especially RTD' and Barrowman's put down of Nick Griffin on the revelation that Torchwood is his favourite programme. ("Please don't watch it." Followed by Barrowman's assertion that Griffin is obviously gay, and Davies quick and withering reply, "You can have him.")
As Rich said, no transmission date was revealled, although they say they do know it, but don't want to clue ITV in on it to early. Personally, I would say the week beginning July 6th, or holding t over to September.
Well worth checking out when it is transmitted.

Re: The Torchwood Hub
You know, further to the subject of when Torchwood Series 3 is going to air, it should be noted that BBC-America is heavily running ads to the effect that "Children of Earth" is a five night event starting July 20. And I can't imagine we'd see it before you folks in the UK do.

Re: The Torchwood Hub
Further to earlier start date speculation, Amazon currently have the DVD set for Children of the Earth up for release on July 27th, so it seems definite that it'll be broadcast in July... sometime.

I hope it's before the 17th - though should be able to catch it via the satellite dishy thingy at France (makes mental note to get brother to explain exactly how to join all the wires up so as not to miss any torchy goodness)

Re: The Torchwood Hub
IMO they've delayed broadcast far too long. I've almost interest, which is a shame as, based on what Rich (and others) have said, it's really rather good.

That's actually earlier than I was fearing it would end up being scheduled. I'm now an officially happy bunny. Kate even more so - once she hears the news. The Co=Ordinator wrote:Children of Earth transmission confirmed for week commencing 4th July.
